A new palm tree is being planted to replace the dead palm tree in the courtyard of the Shwedagon Pagoda.

At the top of the north slope of Shwedagon Pagoda Square. A former palm tree near the foot of the mountain has died and is being replaced.

Today (June 23) this morning, the southwest corner of Shwedagon Pagoda, A palm tree on the lower ring road was excavated by the Shwedagon Pagoda Wattaka Association and transported to the square via the northern slope of the square.

It is reported that the new palm tree is currently being planted in a temporary stand in place of the dead palm tree. The Shwedagon Pagoda Square has been home to palm trees for a long time, and only one palm tree remains as an old one.
