Three people have been infected with the virus in Bangladesh

The Department of Infectious Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) has confirmed that there are three cases of the coronavirus in Bangladesh today.

Two of the infected were in their 20s and 35s. The two have recently returned from Bangladesh from Bangladesh, said Meerjady Sabrina, director of the IEDCR.

The other infected person was a family member of the two who had been infected again. At present, the three are being admitted to a hospital in Dhaka and are in stable condition.

All contacts with three people infected with the virus are kept private and monitored.

Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina earlier urged people to avoid the panic and fear that the government was preparing to eliminate the virus.

Authorities said more than 400,000 tourists were checking through the airport and other border checkpoints.
